    No, Kiwis would never be so short sighted as to sell off 1% of their land mass to another country.

    Clearly the $37 billion is not right because urbanised areas and mineral wealth are valued multiples more per square metre than Kidman Station.

    But the fact is the 1% of Australia represented by Kidman Station and valued at $370 million doesn't even buy 1/10 of one of the new $4 billion French submarines.
