In Australia, kids' sport can be CHEAP, or at least a lot cheaper than most alternatives.
There is of course variation in costs of different organised kids activities including sports . Families simply need to pursue those activities they can afford. There will always be idiots but the bigger picture includes sensible parents as well as a few high spending low income idiots.

The basic cost for 1 child is $170 per season which includes activities and training ……. or only $70 after an Active Kids Voucher $100 is applied to the enrolment process. The vast majority of cheap activities are cheap because parents volunteer time and expertise.
