I saw the heading WOW and KKR. But reading some of the last 10 postings on this thread, all I read how Aldi is useless place to shop. So confused if KKR rumoured take over is at all related to the heading.
Regarding cheap goods price, not sure how many of us have experienced with Costco in Canada /USA and seen their share price.
Costco sells good quality stuff at a considerably cheap price and you get every thing expensive watches to fish. Of course you have to buy in bulk. Their clever marketing based on volume sale and linkage with AMEX. No cash and only AMEX issued by Costco and an annual fee. There is no fee for AMEX and if you pay off monthly then your annual fee is recovered on your first two purchasing.
Why can not WOW, Coles or IGA adopt that? It is a win win situation. Quality of Coles or Woolies own brands sorry - mostly less than average and if you see how much extra you have to use to bring the quality of product then you actually paid more than branded product.
I am watching. If KKR deal is true then will buy WES or MTS. If it is false then WOW will have a big slam and I will buy below $25 then.
