Living in a third world country is a great reminder that our life is not so hard .....I often take my son for a walk to the mall via a narrow gang( lane ) and point out to him that many of the houses there have a floor area of about 20 square metres with no bathroom / hot water and AC... his bedroom is larger.Most of the people living in the kampung behind our place earn about $4 a day - meat is a luxury ,their staple is tempeh,rice and vegetables but in tough times many will eat just white rice with a sprinkle of salt and kecap manis .
