we need sovereign wealth funds, like kuwait nz norway and singapore. it is an easy way to balance the budget, in the longer term. it is quite feasible for us to have a further 1/4 trillion in soverign wealth funds within a decades time. the nz government is making around 5 billion a year through its future fund acc investments banking operations and the like.
even china has engaged man investments to start a quant investment progam for them!
