- Energy recovery projects are hot right now: mechanical vapour recompression (MVR), high temperature heat pumps, thermal storage all getting lots of focus.
- Academics and governments pushing green hydrogen, but industry reps don't want it and prefer electrification instead. On renewables build-out Brazil, UAE well ahead of Aus
- There's many off the shelf applications already available but people are only just starting to integrate them into processes and also explore how they work with each other, E.g. MVR capturing low grade or atmospheric steam and recycling that back into processes at higher pressures is a big one.
