Called collateral damage..gotta understand collectivist ideology it's all encompassing...been around for near 200 years or so now...the widows dont actually matter only the state does, no small group/s do unless they can be combined to fuel the larger groups power and influence....collectivists cannot be shamed by behaviour only under ideology can the feel anything much for any other grouping of people...they have to have political value first.
