WELL, we've all now seen it, taxing super is as easy as shooting fish in a barrel for Labor.
Like many others, I put money into super in good faith only 9 years ago. Now that the money is all locked up, the rules will be changed!!! This is RETROSPECTIVE taxation - it's like breaking a contract or trust. It's a straight out lie to suck people into super under one set of rules, lock up their money and then apply a different set of rules!!! I thought I lived in Australia, not Africa.
They want the average person to feel good that they have escaped this tax and that the tax burden is being paid by some other anonymous sucker. But what this shows is total dishonesty. Does anyone really believe this will be the last of it? Ultimately it destroys credibility and everyone should understand that NO one is safe from tax grabs and that superannuation is just not worth the risk.
Absolute bloody disgrace.
