I have a great many Irish friends (will always be found in the Irish Club in Subiaco after Eagles home games if you're ever in Perth), and I can honestly say, I have never hear them argue Irish politics (unless they've had WAAAAY too many Guinnii). Third generation, fresh off the boat, Proddy, Mick, all the same.
Long may it continue and long may all other tribal squabbles be left at the Aussie border.
