Inflation data in the US, so far away, spells more horror for renters here. Higher for longer which has been the mantra for a while now means no rate cuts for a while as the Fed and elsewhere recall lessons from the 70's. When inflation and interest rates drop there'll be no relief for renters as landlords will want to catch up on the miserable <3% gross they're currently getting on their investment.
It truly has been spectacular for home owners, a once in a lifetime gift for doing nothing more than putting a roof over one's head.
