Governments at all levels love to spend their revenue with handouts, promoting non productive activities they fund, locking for ways to raise additional income for pet projects.....never heard any proposal to reduce at any level the spending. Just print the money, increase government debt and screw the workers. In property take as much as possible from landlords in local taxes, land taxes, charges for safety inspections, fixed electricity and water charges, GST on services......The landlords can pass these hidden costs on, get the blame for increased rents, have rules passed such as once a year rent increases, allow pets that make a mess and cause problems, .........and bear the blame from the tenants.Never heard a tenant lay the blame at the ever increasing hidden costs to landlord....they are just leaches for putting up the rent.
