    Well hang on, this may an historical thing in Germany. But I doubt this would happen today.
    Lucky Germans, it is what it is now.
    Who is going to pay for all the desired public housing?
    I’m dammed if I know. As far as I can see the only way the Australian Government is going to build a massive public housing project, is to raise taxes to a very high level.

    Then everyone will scream and shout because obviously people are struggling financially anyway.
    When people say the government should pay, this, that and the other, they do not seem to understand that the government funds come from the tax payer.
    Many who are already on the bones of their arse.
    This is exactly the reason that they have encouraged private investment.
    And from many conversations on here, you can see that it is not so easy for private investors either,
    Many are struggling to make ends meet.
    Take them all out of the equation, ban private landlords and then what?
    The government don’t want to be the landlord, because they lose money and they attract the worse tenants.

    Many many more homeless people.
    So what now?
    We cannot turn back the clock.
