Nothing wrong with mediocrity if you are happy with that.
I just dealt with someone trying to say I missed the property boat when I in fact I did much better in property then they could ever dream of.
A percentage of my stocks have failed 100% or not done well if they still survive. But losing 1x or 0.6 times matters little when offset against 100x and plenty of 10x or 5x. Yes, I have encountered some dodgy operators and lost but those lessons are leaned very quickly and rarely if ever repeated.
People run into dodgy operators in property as well - at every level from vacant block buying to tenant trashing the place.
I blame no one but me with my share returns however. I am always responsible. Never the tenant, never the bankrupt builder, never the corrupt council.
