the cosmetic industry is fraught with wannabes who seek quick riches from dodgy procedures. the demand has reached fever pitch with procedures designed to "beautify" women who don't need such. its a disgraceful practice imo and causing significant damage to people with dysmorphic ideas on beauty. nothing to do with life-saving private hospital practices. no necessity required for dumb "I wanna look beautiful" people.
these procedures should NOT be subsidised by the taxpayer.
another cause is the desire for private practice specialists to increase their revenue. the type that the right abhor and label as rich fat cat surgeons are all making up new procedures and even doing unnecessary jobs on people with are gullible.
