(forget his name) - in the aftermath of the Paris sieges and slayings, and that astoundng street march - then, at the very end, she tried a cheap shot reflecting on Abbott and Bishop - asking him "do you think Australia was represented at a suitable high level at this march?)"
The President of our Senate, (already en route, and easily diverted, on his way to Europe for an anti-terrorism meeting anyway) - and the Australian Ambassador to France, both represented us.
Sales must have been hugely disappointed when this interviewee smilingly disagreed with her - praising the already high levels of Australian representation - moreso considering that invitations to join this march were only sent out with 30 hours notice.
Mr. Abbott is on anual leave. Seems Shorten and co. even begrudge him that!But he was in Cairns, last Saturday, attending the funeral service for the eight child victims of the recent tragic massacre. He would not forgo that prior commitment and rush off to Paris. Julie Bishop ditto. For him, or her, this 30 hour notice was impossible to meet logistically anyway. (And even had they made the effort - the Left would have heavily criticised them for "dropping everything" and "grandstanding".
Ms. Sales can't help herself. The filthy cheap politically biased dig. That's why she will never ever be a top class TV journalist/presenter, in many opinions..
There were several leaders participating in that march who in no way should have been, or deserved to be, there. Based on their own regimes' appalling human rights records. And their countries' total lack of any semblance of freedom of speech. Pity Ms. Sales didn't mention them - and their shortcomings!
BTW - what's Shorten whining about today? Nasty little pie lover. Anyone enlighten me? Always something to stir up his seemingly constantly out of sorts liver.
