but I see the routine welcome as paying respect to the first people of this land. it does bother me that its so damn formulaic, which makes it like singing God Save the Queen, but there it is. its not a problem for me. I understand why some feel wretched by it being repeated, particularly if one denies the harm done to these people over the centuries..... even up to the last decade.
