Jerko and Pablo have gone for the moonshot, trying to deliver all (~) product as Battery Grade.
IMO that's the hold up.
Delivered equipment wasn't able to keep up with those industry unique specs.
Remember all other carbonate producers deliver a considerable mix of industrial and battery grade out of their plant gates.
AFAIR, the prices received for the difference between the grades is what 10-20%?
If the on paper/screen product doesn't match the actuals after the new experts have installed and tested the upgraded filtration (and pipework), perhaps we join the rest of the brine bakeries and be satisfied with a mix of industrial and battery grades coming out of the oven?
The perfectionist toques may have to accept cranking out cinnamon donuts as well as the jam filled/choc/sprinkle-covered variety.
To receive 10-20% less for 30-40% of total product AT NAMEPLATE is far better than receiving BG revenue for <5% of NP.
