it was the Supreme Court that made the ruling that the laws under which these people were held was unconstitutional and therefore all held under that law had to be released. this wasn't in the decision of the Labs and the law that was used was created by the Libs.
So did you expect the govt (whichever persuasion) to keep people in prison without a law?
