    My issue is the idea we need to target one ethnicity because of crime, and ignore the circumstances that lead to crime.

    Let's use the aggravated burglary point you made, with that statistic of 8.6%. Firstly, they represented 8.6% of the offenders, not the actual offenses.
    The "alleged offenders from Sudan" they listed were 60, out of the total 698.

    So the idea of specifically targeting the Sudanese population, while not commenting on the 91.4% of other offenders is racist. It's racially profiling them, while still completely ignoring the underlying issue.

    I'm not seeing any threads about the NZ's, or Indians or Vietnamese.. yet often the Sudanese are selected as the 'problem' group.
