Yes they had to support them otherwise Albo would have blamed them for blocking their taxation relief - as they didn't block them all the egg is on the Alp's face when the tax cuts fall flat in the increased expense abyss.
Doesn't mean the changes are fair for those that contribute the most to the system - but politically it was smart not to stand in the way.
