So there is a new letter signed by Aussie Islamic organisations, this time condemning this latest threatening ISIS video by a 17 year old Aussie. Great - they are now condemning this threat. Very good. Some of these organisations, only 8 weeks ago signed a letter claiming the latest Aussie anti-terror laws were over-stepping the mark because this ISIS and related stuff was all a trumped-up threat and that Muslims were unfairly targeted.

But the latest letter appears to subtly lay the blame for the departure of this 17 year old and responsibility to get to the bottom of the root cause of radicalisation on the Australian Government:

    http://www.sbs.com.au/news/article/...y-leaders-condemn-video-threatening-australia

"Leading Muslim Community Organisations have expressed their profound concerns and sadness over reports that a 17 year‐old Australian, who was apparently under surveillance by law enforcement agencies has run away from home and managed to travel to Syria to fight with ISIS."

"We believe that there is an urgent need to examine how this 17 yearold youth felt the need to leave the country and fight with a proscribed terrorist organisation overseas. It is also imperative that the government commits further resources into addressing the root causes of radicalisation which need to be identified and adequately addressed."

What absolute garbage and how typical. Deflect the blame and place responsibility on others. If ASIO had this guy under surveillance and they believe that letting him go would assist them in getting further info, why is it their responsibility to stop him leaving?

How about the local Islamic leaderships do some serious soul searching and publicly and privately take responsibility for the problems of radicalisation and take steps to address the root cause.

The root cause is obviously the corrupt teachings condoned by the same leadership that has signed this letter.
