However close of Friday at US will be all important. If gold can hold USD 1260 and add gains......that will be news to lot of traders on side. Until then they will be watching quietly.
Below is a chart which is kind of a road map.........

That stubborn downtrend line has to be taken out decisively. The miners are not believing it.....hence the lag. One of them is fake signal.......either the rise in gold price or the lagging in Miners.
GDX and GDXJ performance relatively poor against GLD. Continuous lower highs. Will this time be different...???

4 out of 5 times the miners index HUI leads the gold price. Rarely does it gives a false signal which is the brown line below.

This is the bigger picture. Most investors in gold are contrarian. Out of them the very very smart ones are in the gold miners because that's where big gains & losses are. And out of these smart people there are some who move the markets ......right now if they are not moving it up...............they must have some other plans.The senior miners are performing quite well its the juniors actually lagging.

Any other ideas guys.

I was watching that video before and I found his results quite interesting. The reason I believe the miners are having trouble is that AUD/USD is rising at a greater pace then gold in USD's, AUD hasn't been at 0.80 since April 2015
