Key reason being, is that there is no growth left in growth stocks. In particular, the tech world is starved of new ideas.

They have been trying their best to monetise their old tech. However, increased competition shows that it's not that special.

Also, increasing deposit rates are taking the shine of 'investing'. The question of, why bother when it doesn't pay to do so?

Of course, plenty of people will pump money in on the way down, because it is very hard to walk away from your old cash cow.

Anyway, I am not convinced that this is not a bear-market rally.

Once people start realizing that this is going nowhere but down, selling may accelerate, with people trying to lock in their windfall gains.

What makes it interesting this time around, compared with the GFC, is just how many people are following the social media consensus.
