The plane came down at 1415 GMT ie a bit after lunch in Britain and I guess around 4 pm in the afternoon in The Ukraine.
It may have been 1.15 am for you though when the plane went down as for the last couple of years they have been putting different times all around the world to keep up with the sun which normally goes around the world every 24 hours, (except when the moon is in the way ) they could have had daylight saving though in the Ukraine so the rebels have a bit more time in the evening to fight.
