The policies he could win on are those that must not be mentioned, They are Abbotts! how he expects to win on a meaningless three word slogan has me beat.
Why won't he fight a campaign on the successes of the coalition government? They were, as we recall, killing the carbon tax and stopping the boats [both live today]. If I had to guess, that would be because his heart isn't into such issues. In fact it is probable he opposes to them and has every intention of reversing the coalition's stance once he is a "legitimate" leader.
Not sure Barnaby will sign a coalition agreement if all conservative values are tossed out the window.
Even if the conservatives scrape in, I reckon Turnbull's future will be other than in politics. If he loses 15 seats, he is toast. Rudd could at least boast boast that he saved some furniture. Turnbull will not have that luxury.
