while I don't know a great deal about autism, I can certainly vouch for the binaural beats technology. I know that in itself is nothing new, but collecting brainwave data and then tailoring the beats to suit in a transportable device that can be worn anywhere in my opinion has more applications than just for ASD sufferers.
I use binaural beats a lot for meditation - yes go on and roll your eyes at me
I download an app and then have to buy the tracks individually ( if you want the proper clinically proven ones not just some back yard jig)
They can be up to $20 per track and I have bought A LOT!  These tracks however are obviously not Tailored to the listener and are more of a one size fits all - yet still, they are the bomb!
If you have never tried binaural beats for mind relaxation then you simply must as IMO the results are astounding ( coming from someone with a very full on and very stressful job that was really taking its toll on mind and body )

An expansion toward depression sufferers perhaps? Although I'm not sure if depression can be helped with altered brainwaves or if it's chemical - or if they are one and the same thing. @NeuroNerd ?
