I've only voted Labor once. My family has a proud Labor history. My father a union member and ALP member, his father a Labor MP. I felt it was my duty.
My one and only vote for Labor resulted in Gough Whitlam.
I am now cured of that particular malaise.
However I did get sucked in again, to my never ending shame. I thought that when Malcom Turnbull replaced Brendon Nelson it was the correct thing.
Then ute gate arrived.
I then did some reseach, something I didn't do before because I was too focussed on keeping my family supported.
My research proved, beyond any doubt, that Malcom Turnbull has only one interest.
That is, Malcom Turnbull.
History has thus far, and will continue to do so, prove that point.
Much to the detriment of Australia.
It is really sad that a politician, any politician, would put his own interests in front of his country.
