I don't believe themselves to be be hypocritical..... only the humans practising their religion. I certainly believe this is the case with Christianity, whose believers are meant to follow Christ. The church, made up of imperfect humans, has been hypocritical over the years. But the church is only those who try to put Christ's teachings into practise - however imperfectly they do that. It would be interesting for you to show me where Christ himself or his teachings were hypocritical.
