Only you younguns can be so arrogant to believe Australia is safe, all we need to do is to distance ourselves from the US. Regarding 'permission to have an opinion'.
It was never my intention to patronise, I don't patronise people.

I am neither arrogant to believe Australia is safe nor quick to cancel the US as our ally.

I think Australia should have a different policy towards China and be less submissive to the US. I subscribe to Paul Keating's views on that matter.
