I think it is my turn to ask the questions:

    1) Were Alameda-2 and Alameda-3 designed to target known net pay accumulations for the purposes of production or were they designed to intersect multiple reservoirs to get as much data as possible from the least amount of wells drilled?

    • 1a) If a production well was designed specifically for Amistad subunit 1B would this perform better or worse than Alameda-2?
    • 1b) Was all the net pay logged prior to Alameda-2? and therefore when did they design the well to flow at a certain vertical depth, was it before drilling or after?

    2) What is the proportion of wells that use artificial lift? Furthermore, is this higher or lower in North America?

"Over 5 million wells are on artificial lift worldwide; in North America alone, it is estimated that 85% of all wells use artificial lift."

    3) Using a well designed specifically for one target reservoir (instead of multiple), using a horizontal orientation, and using artificial lift, would the flow rate be higher or lower on average?

    4) Did they flow test 100% of the net pay of Amistad subunit1B reservoir? If not, what proportion was flow tested? Does this affect the flow rate? https://hotcopper.com.au/data/attachments/5967/5967988-16ef86c1b4b8311070c3b391cc262df1.jpg

    5) What was the water content of the samples taken from the Alameda-2 flow tests? If there was almost zero commingled water, does this increase or decrease the petroleum engineering oil in place calculation?

    • 5a) If additional net pay was discovered with Alameda-2, does this increase or decrease the volumetric oil in place calculation?

    6) Considering "acidizing oil and gas wells is a routine practice that has been used for a very long time"1 were the appraisal wells acid washed, and if not, how can acid washing improve the skin factor? Does improving the skin factor affect flow rates?

    7) How much were Sherritt selling their oil for, for decades whilst they produced oil in Cuba before their PSCs expired? Did Melbana's chief operations officer say their Amistad 1B oil was worth WTI -5%? At what value would this put the reservoir?

    8) Considering Sherritt have been using horizontal wells for their upper sheet production wells, is this feasible?

"Due to lower drawdowns, the yield of a horizontal well is usually higher than that of a vertical well, especially in thin aquifers of lower permeability, where they can replace several of the latter. The lower drawdown, which results in lower energy demand and slower ageing, and the centralized construction of horizontal wells can lead to lower operational costs, which can make them an economically feasible option."

    9) Is the rate of exploration faster than that of Australia, considering how long it would take to have industry standard environmental plans approved, then production licences granted for the exploration, then the retention, then the production phases?
    • Does Cuba have an Environmental Defenders Office (EDO) taking many oil and gas companies to court blocking their development?
    • Does Cuba have locals protesting almost everything as they do in NSW, e.g offshore PEP-11 to inland Narrabri?
    • Does Cuba have a Government who will allow a company to invest millions in exploration, then introduce bills to purposely make the oil/gas permit(s) less viable e.g Environmental Planning and Assessment Amendment (Sea Bed Mining and Exploration) Bill 2024 Introduced by Paul Scully, 7 Feb 2024.https://www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/bills/Pages/bill-details.aspx?pk=18546
    • Does Cuba have a former Prime Minister (or Government officials) who secretly became a resources minister (or official) in order to reject oil/gas title applications?

    10) Did the Joint Venture partner Sonangol have $8.84 billion USD in revenue in 2021? What is the likelihood Sonangol takeover Melbana's ownership of the Block 9 PSC and at which price would this transaction likely occur?
