I'm told that Mohamed married and had sexual relations with an under age girl.
That was approx 1,400 years ago and to me highlights the stupidity of following ancient traditions/religious beliefs as if they're valid for all time.
The sad fact is that child sexual abuse is a fact of life.
It's so bad that when I had a role working with children I had to get police clearance which essentially said that I had no official record of abusing children.
Of course, this was no guarantee that I would not abuse children, but I suppose the step was taken to reduce risk.
A sad statement of our collective moral fibre.
