My Problem with Abbott

I preface this by stating that over the years I voted for Whitlam, Fraser, Hawke, Keating and Howard.

I quite like the idea of changing government to keep them fresh.

Why didn't I vote for Rudd and Gillard? Well, I know Rudd for a start; I've never met Gillard. Either way, I'm not stupid. I picked them both as duds, as I'd hope every intelligent person did.

Abbott: - his problem seems to be this. He's a really nice, generous, honest bloke who'd make a good priest I suspect. Unfortunately for him, that kind of guy sucks in politics. We don't need him donning his Catholic smock over bleeding heart issues like NDIS, paid parental leave etc. A good leader is one who leads with their head. Hawke managed to break from his ACTU roots to lead well.

I don't think Abbott has it in him.He is governing more like Fraser - do nothing and you do nothing wrong.

We want politicians who do what they say and say as they do. Morrison and Bishop are prime examples. There are lots of reforms necessary to repair the Gillard rot. Time for a change.
