Seriously mate, he was Howard's head kicker for years. There was some pretty seedy stuff he got up to.
It's quite obvious he was never a leader, he's a role player, he's the bloke you send out to do your dirty work no questions asked and that was an extension of what he did as opposition leader.
Put him actually in charge and he's a deer in the headlights.
