LIAR went out of his way to take the high and mighty road to explicitly declare that "my word is my bond".
That he was somehow special. That he was somehow different. That he would never break a promise like others before him.
No one forced him to do this.
He deliberately took this course of action.
It's wasn't a once off. He repeated it again and again.
And now that he has thrown this in voters faces, he should face the consequences, he should face it more harshly than those before him as he made such a big thing of it.
No amount of whataboutism or deflection from his rusted on whackers can change these facts.
