    On the other issue you have raised, are you talking about other alternatives to help regional Australia, like when Howard was going to give away almost $2 billion on an area (from memory) of only 600,000 to 700,000 square kilometres to a private company to improve the internet.



    Just to note makattack, my comment about the NBN helping wireless become more accessible throughout Australia had nothing to do with the current NBN fixed wireless roll out or satellite.

    It is to do with being able to tap into the NBN network throughout Australia to expand the availability of mobile wireless Internet. This includes wireless Internet service providers and small retail outlets (for example a small town country Hotel).
