If it was all those things surely the way forward is to keep private and attract diagnostic partners/VC/other non-PO investment. IPO-ing at this stage has to be a bloody nightmare with all the reporting and disclosure etc. responsibilities, and these guys don't need the distraction and extra work involved. They need to develop a proper clinical test, which is no easy feat.
