    The devil’s in the details (in this case, the concentrations). The concentration at which Ivermectin starts to show any sign of inhibiting the SARS-CoV-2 protease is about 35 times the concentration you can achieve in the body under standard dosing protocols - and way above the concentration at which you’ll get severe side effects appearing. To get something that actually works in the real world, it has to be specifically tailored to fit the active site groove in the protease like a key fitting into a lock - so it works at very low concentrations (over 1000 times lower than you’d need for I to do anything), and just as crucially, only works against the SARS-CoV-2 protease without messing up anything else in the normal day-to-day workings of your cells.
