I think what Gordon means is that the SP has a TP a for Ampol because it is doing well, but the sentiment is negative because based on these results i the ALD SP should be a lot higher.
In other words, the present is much better than the perceived prospects in the future.
Jet fuel losses and deval of inventory assets are two citations that are clutching at straws.
There is no reason IMHo why it could not have gained 10% intraday 2day based on these figures.
10% is negative sentiment clutching at straws where there are none IMHO.
If there was a windfall profits tax, that would be a concern. There does not look to be any negatives here on the face of it.
