spot on... and this is the key mistake of conservative small govt policy. they took it to the extreme. maladaptive and discouraging of innovation and change.
targeting Rinehart and Forrest isn't merely political imo, they're shovel ready projects and the returns should soon benefit from the tax credits. minerals processing to the finished product could be much more productive with the adoption of Ai robotics, as another winner producing solar panels which, the CEO claims, could compete with China tier 1 panels.
this is the way to steer the country from the wheelhouse. directing business to areas the govt wants to see become a mainstay of the economy.
and given the cost is stretched over 10 years, with the first costs to begin in cy26 and rising over 3 years. by which time we should see improved technological training in TAFEs and business growth in the support industries.
yes it should have been, and would have been.....
