News: Europe Distillates-Diesel margins decline as ARA stocks build

LONDON, April 25 (Reuters) - Northwest European diesel barge margins fell by 71 cents to about $16.24 barrel on Thursday, as independently-held stocks in ARA rose on the week.

• In the Northwest European diesel barge window, a total of 8,100 metric tons of barges traded on Thursday, after a single 1,150 ton barge changed hands on Wednesday.
• Gasoil stocks held in independent storage in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) refining and storage hub rose 2.5% to 2.18 million tons in the week to Thursday, data from Dutch consultancy Insights Global showed. STK-GO-ARA
• High imports from the Middle East helped offset a slight uptick in demand to drive stocks higher, Insights Global's Lars van Wageningen added.
• Diesel imports into Europe forecast for April continued to climb thanks to near record shipments from the U.S. Gulf Coast and strong imports from Asia and the Middle East, LSEG analyst Raj Rajendran said in a note.
• April imports were set to reach 6.23 million metric tons in April, their highest since September 2023 and up sharply from 4.77 million tons in March, according to LSEG data.
• In Singapore, middle distillates stockpiles surged by more than 14% week on week to nearly a three-year high as net exports dipped, official government data showed on Thursday.
