News: Europe Distillates-Diesel margins hold broadly steady

LONDON, May 21 (Reuters) - Northwest European diesel barge crack spreads nudged up 6 cents on the day to $18.84 a barrel on Tuesday.

• Around 9,000 metric tons of diesel barges traded on Tuesday, after 15,000 tons traded on Monday. Glencore and Shell sold to PSX and Litasco.
• EU and UK diesel and gasoil imports are on track to reach 1.17 million barrels per day this month, Kpler data showed, broadly steady from April levels.
• "The market is finely poised with spring demand from the agriculture and transportation sectors propping up values in the face of the onslaught of flows from overseas, which is still keeping the forward market in contango," said LSEG analyst Raj Rajendran.
• Major South Korean oil firms are expected to sell more spot 10ppm sulphur diesel for June compared with the prior month, despite reduced refinery runs due to planned maintenance and earlier announcements of slight rate cuts, trade sources said.
