Some of the pumpers may be so heavily invested in BIT that if they had to actually admit something is wrong, they would implode. Better just to keep the blinkers on and try to get others to push the SP up a bit.
I think we will be looking at more time spent on research, and we may still be having this conversation 5 years down the track - as it did with the HC "cure".
