The practical solution is a moratorium on immigration and a concerted bi-partisan effort to define what the people of Australia want and how best to implement it, the real issue is the camps are terrible (that's the worlds problem not ours) the wars, drought, food shortages and political tensions are all going to get worse and nobody anywhere on the planet has a solution eventually we will have to protect ourselves and our way of life whether it be now or 50 years from now it's going to be a huge problem as for the economic refugees that's a big NO i believe from all of us and those who refuse to go to a safe place should simply be dumped on the continent they came from, a real issue with many of our boat people is that they don't want to go anywhere except here regardless of what conditions might prevail and that is never going to happen, we cannot let them decide what we will except ever.
