some reports describe the Gaza war as a means for Netanyahu to avoid having to face his charges of corruption and calls for his resignation. accordingly he's using Orwellian war to try and unify as many Israelis behind him. its his effort to prevent himself going to the bin.
when people are isolated they become closer to their ideas of god(s). salvation is their first priority when faced with death. so yeah they've lost the ability to teach their kids due to the missiles blowing up schools, just as they've lost the ability to see a doctor for the kids wounds from being bombed.
war brings the aggressor greater unity just as a punch up draws a crowd and people take sides and bite on the winner, while the victims of aggression are destroyed and the community becomes increasing shattered and chaotic.
Lebanon though..... now thats a mess alright. they're pollies have all seemingly been found corrupt. so like Haiti, chaos rules but for different reasons.
