I was debating whether to renew my subscription or try another another anti-virus software.
After letting my subscription lapse, I thought I'll just run Norton to do a full scan. To my shock horror, the scan wouldn't run, a pop-up appeared stating to renew my subscription. I recall older versions of Norton allowing you to run scans after the expiry date.
As interim measure, I thought at least I'll be able to put on Windows Firewall on. No way, would Norton allow me to do this unless I uninstalled Norton 360.
I always thought that as I bought this product, I was the owner which includes the updates, up to the expiry date.
Being the owner of this program, I should be able to run this software even if it is out of date.
Should I report the company to the trade practice authority?
