Need to be careful. Most of it could be micas, which is worthless. Remember it's a graphite schist. Schist means it shows schistosity, i.e. intermingled with graphite with other sediments/minerals that have undergone metamorphosis. Metamorphosis is the process of changing the constituent structure via heat, liquid, & pressure.

Blind freddy would easily pick up what he believed to be gold & would have only picked up pyrite (fool's gold, worthless). Being geos they should have been able to tell the difference between what they believe to be a good grade graphite core & what is not but the assay results will tell you for sure. Let's hope the assay results are good.
