ummm ... didn't Slipper make false claims re his entitlements? Bishop did at least claim for exactly what she did. It in no way excuses her, but it puts her in a different class to Slipper IMO.
I want to see an independent investigation into MP's entitlement claims, all of them, no matter which party they represent. And anyone found to have rorted the system should be at the minimum kicked out and lose their pensions. Unfortunately that's very unlikely to happen as they all do it. Tony Burke's trip to Alice Springs with his family, charged to the tax payer would seem to be at least as bad as Bishop!
