Although we were a bunch of lads in our 20s who had been at the pub for several hours before the game, the vile tirade of abuse shocked even us. All we could see is a group of guys standing up and yelling at somebody behind them. It looked like they were trying to get out the way of an abusive person in the row behind them who appeared to be spitting at them. Security got involved and it settled down for a while.

A little while later when Collingwood were getting hammered it kicked off again. This time all we could hear was two women yelling. Once was calling the guys in front of her Fing Cs, over and over again. The second woman was yelling at her, "mum, sit down". Security got in there and picked up the 80 year old woman with only 3 teeth and carried her out. Her 65 year old daughter trotted out after them.

I'm guessing the mum used to play for Collingwood in days gone by.

Many years ago I and some mates were in Melbourne on a Saturday avo looking for something to do. There was a game on at the MCG so along we went. Collingwood v Footscray. A Collingwood home game , I didn't have any allegiances to either team so just for a bit of fun I cheered for Footscray, Whoa . bad move . didn't I cop some abuse from the predominately Collingwood crowd. And I tell you, the women were by far the worst
