Yeah but the states more than happy to take money for infrastructure programs some of which which are state responsibilities. And the states take the kudos when roads are repaired or new ones created. People die on those roads which are the responsibilities of the states and which need repairing. Should the Federal Government only repair federal roads. Same with the Covid outbreak. When things were going well after the initial outbreak had been finally contained early this year all the Premiers on both sides were taking the credit. As soon as something goes wrong the States throw their hands up in the air and not our fault. Weird too how so many were complaining about the lack of compassion in not letting in 35000 people from Covid ravaged India into Australia to now saying we should reduce overseas Australians coming back.
I thought we were all in this together. Blaming is the easy way out. Either the States are being blamed or the Federal Government is being blamed.
Not sure how blaming will stop an outbreak or people dying.
