Cazzex, the housing bubble in Sydney and nearby is a major factor behind NSW's economic recovery; so too the pork-barrelling in that state by Tony Abbott's government. Note also that Abbott's mining sector has contributed nothing to the recovery and that CSG is an electric issue, as is the privatisation of electricity.
But there's no doubt that NSW Labor still needs to do a lot more than it has to rebuild the trust of the community in it. IMO it hasn't yet demonstrated that it's deserves to be trusted with government so soon after having to be turfed out.
Mike Baird appeals as a cleanskin and has done well since taking over as Premier. But he will need to listen very hard to what people are expressing as concerns re his privatisation agenda or he will too will enjoy the Tony Abbott experience.
